Made in the USA is a philosophy we proudly stand behind. Every Sanitas frame is handmade in Durango, Colorado, USA. We control every step — from material selection to final assembly — so you always get a bike built with American craftsmanship and care.
-
We started Sanitas Bikes because of our belief that we could make better bikes of greater quality at a superior price-point if we controlled all the processes – from initial design to raw materials selection, to manufacturing, and final assembly.

Custom Geometry = 8-10 Weeks. Stock Geometry = 3-4 weeks.
Lead times vary slightly based on the model ordered and finishwork selected. The time clock starts when the frame has been officially signed off, and the deposit is received. Once an order is in process, no further changes can be made. The lead time quoted above is for frameset only, all other full bike build timelines should be discussed accordingly.

We offer frame only, framesets, complete builds, or any combination. If you want a bike that’s ready to ride upon delivery, then go for a complete build. If you are mechanically inclined and prefer to build up your own bike using your own purchased components, that’s awesome, get a frame alone or a frameset.
-
Yes, you can work with your bike shop to build up your Sanitas Cycles frame. We will chat with the bike shop early in the process to make sure everyone is on the same page. If you’d like to build your frame up using components from another bike, feel free to do that if you’re mechanically inclined or work with a local bike shop.
-
We offer some different titanium finish options in-house – bead blast, brushed, etched logos. We don’t paint, cerakote or anodize in-house. If you’d like a custom paint, cerakote or anodized finish we’d send the frame to one of our amazing partners and we will work together to get the custom bike artwork you’re looking for.

The Sanitas name is a tribute to Mt. Sanitas, based in the foothills outside of Boulder, CO. Founding partner David Siegrist was raised in the Boulder area, and Mt. Sanitas was his favorite place to go for a hike! The mountains in our logos and head badge, as well as the Sanitas name itself, are based directly on David’s beloved mountain trail.
