The Order Process
and Terms of Service
How the Custom Build Process Works with Sanitas
Contact Us: The first step in ordering a Sanitas Cycles bicycle is to contact us and tell us about yourself, what kind of bike you’re interested in, the terrain you ride, your goals, and anything else you’d like to share. Feel free to ask any questions at this time. You can call or email. 970-450-5024 |info@sanitasbikes.com
Discussion: We will schedule a call and chat to discuss more details during this phase. This part of the process is collaborative and you’ll have the opportunity to discuss your build preferences in detail. You’ll receive a detailed estimate listing all components and frame options as discussed.
Make a Deposit: When you’re ready, we’ll take a deposit to lock in your spot for production. The required deposit is $500 for a frame or frameset and $1000 for a complete bike build. Deposits can be placed via check by mail, ACH bank transfer, or QuickBooks payment link. A paper check by mail can be sent to: Sanitas Cycles – 844 E 4th St. – Durango, CO 81301
*A non-refundable deposit is required as part of the ordering process.
Design Work: From here, we’ll send a Body Measurement Assessment form to gather relevant information to create your perfect bike. We will then provide a preliminary CAD drawing and will continue to work through frame geometry until we reach the perfect build for you. You’ll receive the finalized CAD drawing and estimate for approval before it goes to production.
Production: The most exciting part! This is when your specifically chosen tubes are mitered, bent, assembled in the jig, tack-welded, finish-welded, and the frame finish is applied. We’ll share pictures and keep you updated throughout this process.
Assembly & Delivery or Pick Up: When the frame is finished and ready to be built up. It will be boxed up in the most efficient way possible to ensure safe delivery and simple re-assembly. We’ll confirm your shipping address, purchase a shipping label, and provide tracking information prior to shipping. If you’re a local or would like to travel to Durango to pick it up in person, we’ll schedule a day and time to present you with your new bike.
